Challenge: Emergency management personnel get more terrorism response training than weather training, yet 80% of the disasters they face are weather related. After almost a decade without a land falling hurricane, getting clients and prospects to focus on Baron’s hurricane safety products presented a challenge.
Solution: We created a multi-touch “hurricane amnesia” campaign consisting of emails, social posts, a webinar and companion eBook to educate first responders and emergency management customers and prospects on critical weather information they need to know to protect the public from one of nature’s most powerful forces. As it so happened, the first land falling hurricane in eight years was spinning toward Florida the day of our webinar, significantly increasing interest.
